Best Words of the Day

Travis had a post about the Word Of The Day on Urban Dictionary and I had to riff on her riff after spending/wasting much time on the site. (Thank you Travis, it was a S L O W afternoon at work.)

Four that stood out are these--and please click through to read some of the "using the words in a sentence" examples:
LQTM = Laughing Quietly To Myself:
A more accurate representation of the human response to funny things seen on the interweb.

Decidership:
Other word for dictatorship.

Bluetool:
A person who wears a bluetooth wireless earpiece everywhere they go to seem trendy and important. Places to spot bluetools include movie theaters, malls, restaurants, gyms, grocery stores and cars.

Kraft Singles:
A Chicago slang term meaning dollar bills. Derived from another slang term that refers to money as cheese.

That last one reminded me of Slang Flashcards from Knock Knock. I don't have them with me to scan/upload/share but I did snag one from Knock Knock's site:

The examples are hilarious but not nearly as good as the graphics. Oh man. I highly recommend you buy some. "Cheddah" is a word I learned from these cards, so I knew exactly what Kraft Singles was referring to. I'm so street.

Comments:
Here's a frightening thing--I have those slang cards on my desk at work in their little stand. They function sort of like a mood ring for me.

I love bluetool as well. I've started using that one in every day conversation actually.

Not frightening at all! Completely rational and good. I have another friend who does the same thing at her work. You are not alone!
